Re: lucid dreaming
Mon, December 1, 2008 - 6:56 AMi love that some people want to "take control" of their dreams and have them become less bizarre and surreal. kind of misses the point, doesn't it? cracks me up - reminds me of when we used to get fucked up on drugs and then find ourselves in situations where we were going "maintain dude, maintain!!!" -

Re: lucid dreaming
Thu, October 8, 2009 - 8:27 AMdamn. video has been removed... so I can't comment on that.
but, to what you say about people trying to "take control" of their dreams:
isn't that just trying to take control of your mind? and isn't the dreamworld sort of like another dimension? why wouldn't you want to take control of that and explore? I know what you're saying, and I agree that the randomness of dreams offers up plenty of ideas as it is. but, imagine being able to dive deeper into that world, deeper into things even more unexplainable and strange than just mere dreaming?
imagine the dreams you can have WHILE dreaming! -

Wed, October 14, 2009 - 8:18 AMha! that's great! I think I get that too, just not every time (damn alarm on workdays!)
also, I should think the reverse might not be advisable! being awake and not noticing when you fall asleep could be bad while operating machinery, etc.
